It will be an executable and be titled something along the lines of "setup". If it asks you to extract the files first, do that and the start the file again.
ok. Doesn't really matter though. Antennas are pretty standard, which is what you asked about, not about technology and wifi versions. All the fancy specs are part of the wifi card, not the antenna. Looking at the specs, your router has 5 dBi antennas which is pretty typical.

The rest is basic fault finding. If the Wifi device doesnt appear in device manager its 100% the wrong drivers installed. If you can switch on the Wifi in Windows settings then show available devices should list the router. But f you have a LAN nearby thats better than Wifi (just get a bigger switch )
It all comes down to if the socket that the antenna screws into is still attached to the motherboard. If it was broken off it is possible to replace it, but it would require you to solder a new connector to the motherboard. If it is in tact, you can simply buy a replacement antenna and screw it into place. alpha-negan.

It has to be something with the MB as it supports Bluetooth. I do not have the wireless antennas connected tot he MB I have it hard wired to my router. I will include a screenshot of the Bluetooth settings screen so you can see the 4 "Other Devices" that were not on my old system. Hopefully someone has had this issue or may know what is going on.

Jun 4, 2015. #2. Its pretty easy to test. Put the PC on the desk and have it face the router. You could also take the antenna off completely and see if there is any difference. It is pretty hard to damage a antenna, you I suppose could look for a broken pin. If it is a PCI card there is not much else.
Unfortunately, nothing has worked for me. It still has not been able to detect any wifi card. (usb wifi adapter works fine but the built-in wifi on the motherboard) Reinstalling windows 10 didn't help. Already done installing official wifi driver for this motherboard. Wifi is already enabled in the bios setting.
